Liz Almeida-Sanborn, MS, PT, is President and founder of Preferred Therapy Solutions. Liz is a recognized leader in sub-acute/long term care rehabilitation management as well as Medicare reimbursement and compliance. Liz is a physical therapist who has held a progression of senior level operations positions during her 20+ years of experience in the post-acute rehabilitation industry. As a recognized expert in Medicare reimbursement and practice regulations, Liz has spoken extensively on the topics of financial, clinical, and operational reimbursement issues relating to skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), hospitals, home health agencies, and outpatient clinics. She plays an active role in both state and national healthcare associations. Liz has also served as an adjunct professor for the Springfield College Physical Therapy program and sits on various Boards at the College. Her passion for clinical excellence combined with her extensive industry and management experience led to the development and success of Preferred Therapy Solutions. At the heart of what the Preferred Therapy Solutions’ team does each day are Liz’s principles of integrity, dedication to exceeding expectations, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.

Jodi holds a Master’s in Physical Therapy and brings over 10+ years of experience in the post acute rehabilitation industry. After holding multiple senior level management positions within organizations in the New York area, Jodi joined Preferred Therapy Solutions and played an active role in the rapid expansion of PTS’ client growth into the Northeast. Her clinical background combined with her diverse operations experience has lead to the consistent increase in revenue, reimbursement, and clinical programming for PTS’ client base. She sets high standards of excellence for her team and accepts only the best from service delivery.

Matt brings over 12 years of experience in the long term and post acute care setting. He has worked for various private skilled nursing facilities as well as contract rehab companies prior to joining PTS. He joined PTS as a Therapy Program Manager and soon became a Regional Director overseeing operations in multiple facilities. Currently, as Director of Operations for CT & MA, Matt combines his clinical and operations experience with his vast knowledge of regulations, compliance, and reimbursement to lead the successful transformation of operations in multiple facilities. His attention to detail and team oriented approach has resulted in significant positive bottom line results for the PTS client base.

Maria has over 21 years of experience as a Physical Therapist. She has held numerous management positions throughout her career that have all added to her extensive knowledge of the post acute and long term care rehabilitation industry. An expert in Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payer regulatory compliance, state & national practice acts, and financial and billing integrity, Maria leads PTS’ compliance and education efforts. Closely monitoring changes related to CMS, OIG, various FIs, Practice Acts, and ICD-9/CPT Codes, Maria and her team ensure awareness and understanding of financial and billing changes. Under Maria’s leadership, her team assists PTS’ clients to translate regulatory changes into successful clinical and financial practices in an ever-changing healthcare environment. Maria’s commitment to excellence and passion for education assist her in her role which also focuses on documentation compliance and performing annual audits.

Linda brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare recruitment industry from working with major healthcare systems and rehabilitation therapy companies. Her extensive HR knowledge has enhanced PTS’ recruitment efforts and acts as an invaluable resource to the operations team.
